About Us

Hello! This site was created by Bridget and Isabella as seniors studying mechanical systems engineering at Arizona State University. In 2019, we attended our first Toy Hackathon, hosted by Makers Making Change at the Arizona Science Center.

The Hackathon inspired us to host two of our own toy hacks, and to make adapting toys our Honors Thesis for Barrett, the Honors College. We hope that this site will help anyone interested in hacking toys on their own or as an event.

We would like to thank Matt LeVac at ACCEL for all of the support and advice he has provided throughout this project, and the Si Se Puede Foundation for their generosity in allowing us to hold our events in their STEM center and use their equipment.
